Phuket is a popular holiday destination, with different areas offering a variety of options: relaxing beach holidays, active family spots, shopping, and nightlife.
- Patong is the busiest beach and famous for its nightlife and shopping possibilities.
- Karon and Kata Yai has kilometers of beautiful sand and is often favoured by families with children.
- Kata Noi and Naiharn further South are a bit more quiet with wide range of hotel options.
- Kamala, Surin, Bang Tao and Nai Yang on the Northern part of the island offer beautiful beaches and upper scale hotels.
If you plan to go on island trips, snorkeling or scuba diving, we recommend not to book accommodation at the Northern part of the island due to a long distance to the marina.
